What are any of you paying or charging for custom show cattle preparation? I have an operation that wants us to get some cattle ready for them for Kansas City, Louisville, and Denver. These cattle would be at our place and in our barn being cared for by us and our hired hand. If you have any experiences with this please comment.

Thank you.

Make at least 3 a head a day on just the feed.  You need 10 a day on pen space,  10 a day to rinse and brush. 30 to 50 cents a mile hauling, and pro rate the road expenses among the cattle.

Probably left out some but now you have a start

Thank you for the reply. Is that what you are getting or have paid? Seems like a lot I mean I will take it but want to make sure I am fair as well.

Thanks

$550 per month in the show barn, just to feed them and put hair on them.

Generally with Feed. If one needs something very expensive we will adjust. I have to say we don't make a ton of money doing the custom work, and it's generally for our customers.
