    N/C Diesel fuel treatment?

It's been years since we've had cold like this here in Pa. and wondering what you guys in mid west use to keep skid steer and tractors from gelling up?  Is mixing kerosene in with diesel fuel still good for this? I remember years ago grandpa would always mix cpl gallon of kerosene in a tank...

    New Trausch Farms Bull

Now why would you say that Clubby?  ::)  I would think in 3 years when Tomahawk chop is 4 and rock salt only 3 yrs and 8 months it would affect your mating decisions greatly.

    Bedding for trailer

Unless your trailer has a vent space near the bottom it will work fine. Put it in and stomp it down then wet it with a hose and it will last awhile.

Best Bull By Lautners (In my opinion) Italian Stalion

What you have there is a closeup picture of a stall divider that has a bull behind it. What i would like to see is a pic of him on bare level ground for a start. Also why IYO is he the best of the Lautner lineup?

    Cleaning clipper blades.

What are you cleaning off of them? Dirt, glue or rust and crud? I've used the hocus pocus before for just glue. If they're really cruddy soak overnight in diesel fuel with a touch of Wisk detergent. Use an old tooth brush on them or very fine steel wool. Be sure to spray a light coat oil on them...

    New Trausch Farms Bull

Keep in mind he is a late April baby so he's given away 2-3 months of growth compared to alot of the other bulls there.  May be a good answer for the larger framed simmi or maine cows that are out there.  Definetly a terminal sire though.

    County Show = Popularity Contest

You are correct knabe. We had a rather large sum left to our county 4-H programs in a will and had to setup a foundation of sorts to receive and administer the money or it would have went to the state  level at the university.  ffa not sure about that.

    double dip and vinegar

Double dip is a conditioning product similar to kleen sheen.  I prefer to use it in winter as its a bit heavier than sheen n we don't rinse them daily. Mix it 2 to 1 with rag oil. Vinegar really helps with hide n dandruff control year round.

    Macho Man

When i first saw the picture my initial impression of him was he was falling over onto his left side just as the photo was snapped. Then after looking at foot set and the structural makeup i think if you got him running he may go in 3 different directions at once..possibly 4.  And what's up with...

Should I buy another heifer or try to find a bred cow?

For what you're wanting to do build a cow herd, the bred heifer/cow is definetly the way to go. As stated above return is quicker, you know you're getting a proven breeder and often times they are cheaper or no more expensive than a heifer.  Everyone seems to want to make a big splash with a new...

    What do you think?

[/color] Meyer 734 is a great example.  While his sons have certainly been adequate and acceptable, none of them have stepped up and taken his place.  The daughters on the otherhand have made many a cattleman a good herd base and nice chunk of change.

Low BW Angus bull to use on a Clubby Heifer

In addition to the female's genetics playing a role in calf size, how you manage the females contributes greatly to calf size. Particularly the last 2-3 months. Most can get by on fair quality forage and mineral supplement and do just fine. A heifer may need a bit more because she is still...
