I bought some I-80 from Cattle Visions this spring...bred one heifer, got one pregnancy!  Can't expect more than that...  ;D

Brillance, Bismark, Unbelievable or First Impession

Brent...I added a couple photos from today of another Unbelievable heifer that is looking real good.  They are on the homepage of our website.  Thought you might enjoy!!  Considering 4 out of our 5 Unbelievable's are pictured, that isn't too shabby.  And the 5th is no slouch, just haven't...

Brillance, Bismark, Unbelievable or First Impession

Thanks Brent!  Plan to wean in a couple weeks and get a couple ready for MN Beef Expo in Oct.  I had one Bismarck in the past, but didn't like how he tied in behind his shoulders.  The Unbelievables are nice there.  I thought some of the Brilliance calves I've seen have had a little extra...

Brillance, Bismark, Unbelievable or First Impession

I am really happy with my Bush's Unbelievable calves!  Calving ease, and lots of look...and as they have grown, they are adding volume and muscle.  Plenty of performance to use for breeding cattle too.  I've got some recent pictures of calves on our website...check them out! ...

Angus bull for hip, bone, and neck...

How about BC Eagle Eye??  Does a lot of things right...  He can throw a little more shoulder, but if your cows are nice shouldered you should be good to go.  We are using a son of him....  He's pictured on our website along with one of his first calves.  We bred our cows all naturally to him...

    I80 heifer

Is she brockle faced with some white there?  I wasn't sure I had seen an I80 that wasn't solid black.  Good to see...our black baldy tiger woods is safe to I80, and hoping for a baldy next spring.  Heifer looks nice!

    Angus bull Journey

Here is a link to his picture...  http://www.midcontinentfarms.com/Journey.html  I saw him in Denver and thought he had a great look, and looked to be calving ease.  He was pretty moderate in frame, and not as powerful as some others displayed, but thought he was acceptable from a calving ease...

Your Thoughts on a Working Facility for cows

I've heard a lot of good things about the "Bud Box".  see this video, or google it.  http://youtu.be/OP7aNhKCZwQ  Very simple philosophy of letting cattle go back the way they came!  Seems too simple really.  But I've seen the problems of pushing cattle through a tub system too, and more...

    lautner bull lowrider???

I saw him in Denver, and he probably weighed 400 lbs.  Remember he's a half blood lowline.  Not sure at what age, or weight he would produce freezable semen, but my guess is it would be a while.  I think his only place is to possibly breed the terminal market heifer types, to maybe get a live...

    recent bull stud pictures??

Here's a couple pics of One & Only that I got while he was at Nichols, from May 2010.  He was impressive!

    Standing heat a 1:00pm?

We had one tonight that had the Estrotech patch rubbed off.  Was not in heat at 6:30am, but completely rubbed tonight and it looked like the flurry of activity had come back to normal.  So, wasn't sure when she came in to heat.  We bred her tonight, and gave her a shot of gnrh to help the odds...

    I-80 son named Road Trip

I'd be curious to know how many people bought semen on him before, after seeing him in Denver, when he was still Road Trip??  Seems like the demand is there now!!

    Preferred Preg Check Method?

That's correct...take 30 seconds and read the research study highlights.  There is always a chance with Mother Nature that a certain percentage of pregnancies will be lost, but they are not caused by rectal palpation or ultrasound.

    Preferred Preg Check Method?

Not true...check out the research from Texas A&M just recently.  Palpation is safe, and ultrasound is even less invasive.  Keep in mind the numbers in the article are for dairy cattle, who experience a higher rate of abortions due to management and milk productions...

    Preferred Preg Check Method?

I've had skilled veterinarians pick up pregnancy via ultrasound at 28 days, and then palpate for comparison, and then say that was a possible pregnancy that they would of missed by palpation alone.  It's easy to do.  If he called her open (when she really was pregnant) and gave her Lute to...

    AI stud/bull interest

I know of an Angus breeder that owns 1/3 interest in a popular Angus sire...with the royalties from semen sales and certificates, IN ONE YEAR, paid for a JD 7530 tractor, Chevy truck and Wilson trailer!!  :o

    I-80 color?

I'm curious to know too if anyone has had any red I80 calves??  Dusty...did the calf come around the due date?  Do you plan to parentage test the calf?

    Color Question...

I should of re-phrased my question better... Actually some chrome, baldies, red, etc... wouldn't be a bad thing!  Since Tiger Woods is red, and she is a baldy, I was just curious what some of the possible color combos could be with either mating.  I just can't recall any pics of offspring out of...
