Any opinions on this new bull? Is a brilliance out of the Ruby cow. Looks like he has plenty of flex of hock, and great rib shape and depth. Was planning on using him on a first calf maine heifer

Haven't seen the bull but sounds like you know what needs to be improved with your cow herd. My advice which may not be worth much, if anything, is to go with your gut. Is there a video of him and are you comfortable with his calving ease? He has a strong/potent pedigree.

Did anyone sample the EXAR bred bull named Counsel?  He has caught my attention this year as far as the new ABS Angus line up.

I feel pretty comfortable with it, my only concern is his frame size was hoping someone had seen him to tell me. Love his pedigree and his look just not sure about size does anyone know of where a picture might be?

Tried to use him but was told they had collection issues with him.  From his pic I don't think he will be a heifer bull, but I really like his look so will hopefully try him on 3 year olds next year.

Here is a link to his picture...  http://www.midcontinentfarms.com/Journey.html
I saw him in Denver and thought he had a great look, and looked to be calving ease.  He was pretty moderate in frame, and not as powerful as some others displayed, but thought he was acceptable from a calving ease viewpoint.  Hope it helps...
