That is great!  Wish my cows would do that. My sisters heifer actually fetches.  My sis will leave a brush on the ground or showstick and the heifer will go grab whatever she wants done to her. If she wants a good tummy rub the showstick,  the brush if she wants a good brushing.  I have noticed...

Ya, I used to tell my friends that I was gonna have another brother or sister.  I lingered it out one year and they came over to my house before I could tell them the truth and asked my mom about names or some such like that and she kinda got offended about it until I told the truth. ;) Jamie

Yes, we have used that before too.  Most of the time on mature cows that were just broke and the only reason for them being at the show was for the calf.  But we have had good luck with Calf Calm and it is completely legal. Jamie

I guess it was last week that we got 11in!  It was just starting to dry out and it rained yesterday.  I pray that some rain would go where the people really need it.  It got so bad here my Aunt couldn't get to her house and there are 3 different way to get there. Jamie

Absolutely, they can get mastitis.  We had a bull calf that we weaned early and put in with the show heifers.  Well, he had been weaned for awhile so we thought it was all good, but he began to nurse on one of the show heifers.  She had mastitis, so we had to inject the medicine into her teet...

An easier solution would be to sale her because if they start they wont quit.  My dad has said he has actually seen a cow twist around and milk herself.  Odd I know. Jamie

JIT, same here our first bull to sale this year was my last pick.  He was a leggy type bull where as I like the deeper one with more of a behind.  It was funny because my dad said he would be the first to go and all be darned if the guy couldn't keep his eyes off that one. Jamie
