    Walks Alone reports

SHAGGY, you have hit the nail on the head.So many wannebe's,so little time.Hell, I've judged shows the past few years that almost every breed of purebred cattle had just as many structure problems as the crosses.Ask Dan May what he seen when judging Angus and Limmys at WBE last Sept.

Call Eric Noonan in Bernard, Iowa. Jakes Proud Jazz on Clubby Heifers

yes, it has been done. There will ALWAYS be a chance for a big calf, when mated this way.Folks do it alot with Jake on heifers of all breeds. Most of calves will be small, but not all.You won't get a lot of grow with jake. But most will be fancy when young. The only bull I trust to make combination...

    Thoughts on Flushing cow

If you are going to flush her or breed her to a shorthorn, go with Ace of Diamonds. If you use Heat Wave,be careful how she is fed[etc.] and managed, throughout the pregnacy. If you want some good solid calves, with the potential to get a really good one,Hairy Bear works as good or better on...

    Mossimo

I breed cattle with the same genetics, I use Maximus and Macho on Angus and maines and then I use S.O.S. to maintain the halfbloods. Probably will use Dream Catcher some.Mossimo is a good bull, just not as consistant.Have never heard much from Mile high Max.

Opinions on restarting small club calf cow herd

Jo B'n Tenn is right on the money on this one.It may take some gas money, but the chance of a decent return on your money is much greater. My daughters wanted to do the open heifer thing,so they could at least show at their county fair.It has worked out great for them, now in their second calving...

    high moisture bales

Wet wrapped bales generally run approx 25% moisture.  If the cows you are inquiring about have no other feed source (pasture, ect) then the would eat 15-20 lb dry matter or a little more.  If these are 1000 pound bales, then one bale would feed 37 cows a day. If the bale has been innoculted, it...

    All around simmy bull

Amazon, I really like. Dream Catcher would be next.Maximus and Macho would follow. You get decent maternal with unmatched style. Not for purist. In the last five years, pepole have told me they have increased their profits, especiall from Macho and Maximus, simply because they have reached prevously...

    what shorthorn bull to use?

Vegas has worked on Stockman 365 daughters, but no known proof of any other bloodines. You would get mostly blue roans. Dean Kephart and others in the southwest always used Double Vision. He bought an interest in Buddy Love.[Sonny/DV-Cunia/Draftpick thc] Full brother,[Free for All....TH and PHA...

    BEB Juneau on Angus Heifers

Yes,Juneau will work. Then use Ramblin Fever on the Juneau's.Fever will work on heifers also.Just had two Fever heifers out of Juneau and Missing Link daughters [first calf heifers] that are better than good.[65# birth on both]

    Totally Tuned Bull question

Good Angus or maines with muscle and guts, moderate frame, his heifes out of 3/4 blood or higher make good cows, even today.

    Thriller

Don't let anyone fool you.If you are breeding NI to Angus you will be ok but on  crosses they can be much higher and unless they are heifers, mostly throw aways. On crosses or Angus use Total Solution and you wll get low birth in the 60's and 70's and if your females are good, you will get good...

    I-80 BULL

He is not any straighter on his hind leg than any other clubby type bull.He has plenty of flex and a good stride.

    I-80 BULL
