He has been getting atleast a little grain for about 6 months now we are mixing our own ration.  He was eating about 18lbs a day but i cut him back to 12 last time i checked he was gaining about 5lbs a day. he is too straight on his back hocks but has never walked peg legged like he is now, but...

His back legs are really stiff kinda seems stiff all over but he doesnt seem to want to bend his back hocks is the worst of it.

What do you think of this little girl?

Have you ever heard of  a steer becoming stiff from to much grain? And if not does anybody know of any other reason a steer could become stiff and what we can do to fix it?

How does he look? if you could a picture would be nice.

Has anyone bred Red Rock to a black cow, If so what did you get baldies?  Were they nice calves? Has anyone heard a birth weight on Red Rock?

Bred one heifer to him and got an 85 pound heifer calf little bigger than i was really wanting but she  is a really  stout little girl.

Yeah theres a few i could use but just thought it was odd he wasnt on the list. Do you know somthing bad about the bull ?

I bought a steer last fall and had him about month before i noticed the flud filled knots on his back hocks ( just like you described)  took him to the vet and he said it was OCD called the people i bought him from and they took him right back.

How long do you have to wait until you can breed a cow back after she calves?

From pictures bojo looks like he has kinda long legs is it just the pictures? And have his calves had longer legs?

What should i breed her to monopoly or Bojo ? or maybe somthing else? She is a Smokin joe X Main

I would like to post pics but the calf has white muscle and although shes doing better shes doesnt look to hot at the moment. When we get this cleared up and she looks some what like a normal calf ill post some pics.

Yeah that is what our Vet recommended. This calf hasnt been able to stand correctly since birth and we didnt treat with the Vitamin E until she was about 5 days old. Any ideas on how long its goin to take for the medicine to take affect and will she ever be able to walk normaly?

She was born with it and we have gave her the max dose of vitamin E we can. So we will see how she reacts.

Do they ever fully recover from it ? how long does it take?
