put a heat tape on the pipeline between the insulating tube and the valve.  Not sure about that particular brand, but with many waterers you can also add a "drop in" ring style heater. My Franklins have heat tapes and a drop in.  They work pretty good, knock on wood.  ;D

Hart Hollywood Queen E700 (Simmental) has almost 250 registered progeny.  That'd take at least 400-500 eggs, that's the most I know of.

Different strokes for different folks.  Both avenues has positives and negatives.  You'll have to put a pencil to it either way, since the "best" way to raise cattle is whatever way pays the bills and makes you happy.

I didn't do the conversion on the how tall they are, but looking at the photos- the angle the halter is held and such- they aren't very tall cattle.  Plenty impressive body type, but give me that in a larger frame size and I'm interested.
