We had a Tyson calf last year - we'll use him again. She's not a "show" heifer, but doesn't do to bad - usually the middle of her class. We're keeping her for a replacement heifer - she's also 25% shorthorn
We are looking for a 5' upright aluminium or galvanized show box (on wheels), a double blower stand and fan stand. We are located in Central Ohio. Please message me if you have any of this equipment you are willing to part with.
Could you send us a picture of the blower cart? You can either email it to [email protected] or send a text message to 330-465-6053. What days will you be at the Lima, OH show? Thank you

Our county fair (North Central Ohio) is 8 and 3rd grade. However, my son has been showing since he was 5 as of Jan. 1 (he is now 7) and cannot wait to hit the show ring at the County Fair. But safety has to come first - we make sure both kids' calves are super quiet and calm or they don't show...
My daughter's steer is an extremely picky eater - fed him oxy explosion for 1 month and he put on 3 lbs per day. I skipped a couple of weeks (I had to order it in) and his ADG dropped to just under a lb. a day. Started feeding it again and he is back up to 2.7 lbs. gain per day.
Our county sends out a letter with what you can be expected to know - usually goes by age division (with the younger getting the easier questions). but the things on the letter for this year are parts of the steer, feed identification, cuts of meat, breed identification, how to tie a steer up...
Our steer had no side effects from the Griseofulvin (spelling may not be right). And we tried EVERYTHING prior to that (shampoos, topical ointments, sprays, etc.). He continued to eat and gain well for him (he has been a picky eater from day one). Our vet also said we could take Captan (a...
Nice calf - I was just searching for Cool Customer calf pictures bc we are breeding to him this year. We will be in Punxy for husband's cousin's graduation on July 10th - any chance we could stop in and see your calves?
My daughter's steer had a horrific case of ringworm this past winter - lost all of the hair from his neck to his tail head and halfway down both sides of his body. Our vet gave us Griseofulvin (not sure if that is how you spell it) but it was reasonably expensive (I think $55 for a 10 day...
This is our daughter's second year showing a steer project in 4-h (she is 10). Last year's steer would eat and eat and then eat some more - weighed in at our county fair at 1400 lbs. This year's steer is a picky eater at best (they would usually only eat 3/4 of their feed each feeding) - after...
