I have a I-80 X Walks Alone heifer that I raised and want opinions! She is an end of October and this was a picture last month!

How does everybody wean their calves? I want to make sure my cows don't get mastitis??

I have a Walks Alone X Maine cow that I am trying to find a bull that will add some frame and make the calves softer made. She is very clean fronted and very correct but will need a bull that will add frame. Any recommendations?

No I have never had issues with burning the hair off!

I always used the Black Velvet as I feel it holds better and longer on the calves. I also have done both ways with kleen sheen and without Kleen Sheen. I saw better results without Kleen Sheen and I put it on the calves with a spray bottle and a brush, and I keep it on for 30miuntes!

I agree that no joint supplement is cheap. I have used Fix a Stride and Lubrisyn and saw great results. They are both very pricey, but you got your money worth out of these products!

The Cimarron Trailers the Kirk Stierwalt series are amazing. They also have the floating gates, you can get the ramp on etc. These trailers are definitely my favorite!!

I have also used Shag to see if it worked and I did not have any success with it. The hair supplements that I had the most success was Hide N Hair and Epic.

i believe Natural Solutions makes Hide N Hair and its like 90.00 for a 90day supply. It maybe more but I dont remember off the top of my head.

I have used this product and it worked great. I fed the bare minimum and the calves were growing a ton of hair. The other product that I found that works great to grow hair is Hide N Hair. I feel it works better than Epic and it is a powder where my calves sometimes would not eat the Epic pellet.

You will have to shed hair to get the new hair in. The worst thing you can do is to hold onto that old hair. I would shed it out and rinse and blow everyday and use the roto brush to help promote the new hair!

I am planning on attending a AI school this summer so I can learn and so I do not have too but keep on bringing my cows back and forth. What school would recommend? Thanks
