How do you raise a calf on a bottle and keep them looking good in the end?

I will check into that milk based replacer.  I don't know if the brand we have now is milk based but I assume it is not.  Now that I think of it we have a cow that lost her calf about a wee ago.  I have been so busy I totally forgot about that.  Will try to get them paired up tomorrow.  Thanks...

How do you raise a calf on a bottle and keep them looking good in the end?

Have a 2 day old Okie Dokie X Cornerstone shorthorn heifer and unfortunately her mother did not make it.  So I am bottle feeding her and of course it gets easier and easier as she gets more used to doing it.  In the past I have raised commercial calves on a bottle for a while and then sold them...

Friction X Chill Factor Heifer. TAKE A LOOK! Added some different angles

She will be a year old at the end of this month.  Weighing around 650 pounds I would guess.  She has no papers.  Have been showing her in crossbred classes at some jackpots.  Really starting to flesh up and get deep as she has slowed down on a growth spurt she took off on over the winter.  If...

    heat waves,monopoly,carnac steers for sale

Sorry to be off topic but what brand chute is that.  I have seen a few like it and would like a chute that I could both vaccinate and clip in that has the sides that open.  How do you like it.  Is it sturdy enough to run cattle and even bulls through for vaccinations, Ai ing and such. Thanks

Killer instinct. Has anyone used him.

He is a double carrier.  It would be a good idea to checkout her pedigree or get her tested.  Might be best to just not use him.  I bought to straws before they got his results.  Don't know when I will use them.  Might just try and put them in a commercial cow with no maine or shorthorn to get...

    Wash Rack

We used 2X6 boards for the frame and we put in a piece of metal panel to grip too and also a bunch of broken up pieces of concrete blocks and rocks to take up some room.  So it is between 4 and 6 inches becasue of the 2 inch slop down to the drain and 6 inches at the edges.

    Wash Rack

I measured my clipping chute to try and get the measurments.  I measured the width of my clipping chute for the distance between the polls and the distance back from the tie really depends on what size calves you deal with the most.  I used the first slot for my clipping chute to put the upright...

    calf born with crooked tail

I don't think so.  It appeared they had a bad case of pinkeye that was uncorrected.  The sale was Teets Farm in WV.  They didn't want to sell the calves in the sale but they had been asked by several people they were interested in them so they decided to sell them.  They had already started...
