What do you think about my new hiefer?

Took this picture of her the other night after we got her washed up. Could still use a clip job but she will go to her first show this weekend. What do you think of her progression?

    Synchronized but no heat sign

This year i have had a heck of a time getting cows to come into heat and I do not know why. I had a 1st calf heifer that got a the 7 day cidr protocol and never came in. So 10 days later i gave her a shot of lut. never came in. 10 days after that another one and still nothing. Also did the same...

Selling animals with a right to flush

Curious about animals being sold and the seller is retaining a flush on the animal. Does the seller get all of the embryos in the flush, or is it similar to a flush from a cow being sold where there is a cap and anything above that cap is split between the owner and the buyer?

Growing hair without the best facilities..

I have the same kind of situation as you as far as facilities goes because I have stalls in the lean to of a barn and one end is open. Last year i had a heifer that had great hair, granted I don't know where you live, but people thought she was in a cooler and I just had her under a fan. The one...

    Which Blower is best?

A buddy of mine became a Circuiteer dealer and we talked to the guy at the company that makes them. The nose cone and the filter are the only differences between the two. Sullivan's use to sell the circuiteer but decided they were going to "design" their own. They put the cone on the front and a...

    High Octane

The only one I have expierence with is depth charge and I really likes the product. You can either feed it every day or you can feed it just before a show either way. I was feeding it everyday and think its a very good product.

    couple calf pictures

Thats what I have seen in both of the Bismarck calves is that they have an unreal amount of rib for being baby calves. The heifer is finally starting to come into herself now that she is eating some creep and is starting to put some more muscle on.

Who should I breed my PB Angus HEIFER to (pic)

I personally adhere to the philosophy that a person should just get a live calf on the ground for the first calf and shouldnt try to get that "barn burner" out of a first calf heifer. The cow will make you more money in her lifetime if she gets that first calf out easy and breeds back and if...

    One eyed jack simmi bulk

I had the opportunity to talk to Rodger Allen about this bull because he owns part of him. What he told me is that he feels he is going to be a breed changer. I have seen some pictures of calves out of him and they look really  good at an early age, but time will really tell. Rodger told me...

Does anyone have any experience with this bull? What kind of cows is he working on?

    Heff Bull ???????

There is a big difference in birth weights from north and south because of the winter more so than what they are fed because when it's cold more blood goes through the cow mainly in the uterus of the cow making the calf bigger. I got talking to my vet about this while we were cutting a 115# calf...

    Angus calving ease

I guess my recommendation would be SAV Bismarck which is unbelievable's sire. Unbelievables price is a little high when you can buy his sire for 25 or 30. Also Bismarck is old enough that his accuracy for CE and BW are up in the 95 and 98%. Thats my recommendation you can take it for what its...

    couple calf pictures

I snapped a couple pictures while I was out doing chores tonight and was curious what everyone thinks. They are both PB angus calves and are both bred the same way out of Bismarck. And also both out of first calf heifers The first is a heifer calf out of a Pure product cow that goes back to...

Yup she is up and moving around quite a bit! Kinda figured it was something that happened at birth/in the uterus

    Calf leg problem

I had a calf born yesterday and I can't say I have seen this issue before. One one her back legs has more flexibility than I have seen. She can actually bend her hock a little bit the opposite direction. I'm hoping that she will just come out of it but like I said I haven't seen this before. I...

    Tillage equiptment N/C

The smallest they make is a 22 foot turbo and i would think a 210 hp tractor should be able to pull that without a problem.
