I have this commercial heifer out of a angus cow and simi bull. I was thinking about AI'ing her to a shorty bull. What do you think? She just turned a year this month.

My Mom usually slips a halter on when they are coming out the birth canal!  Kidding, of course, but it is not unusual for her to put a halter on when they are a week old. She does not try to pull them around, only shows them it's nothing to be afraid of. You can do this for a few minutes a day...

We are located in South Texas and had one performed on a calf for about $250.

If she is not going to the bathroom, it is possible that she could have an impaction or some kind of intestinal problem. You can try to drench her with some mineral oil and see if that helps.
