A comment in another thread got me to thinking about this question.  How many of you club calf breeders have kids that show?  If so, how do you handle competing against your customers?  I'm just curious.  I know that has to be balancing act and I"m just curious how some of you handle it.

Aren't most of these open show numbers down this year?  It always amazes me that the Beef Expo in the crappiest weather that Iowa has to give - has 1000+ calves jammed into that cattle barn with little to no room for tack or anything else and then most of these same calves won't travel 20-30...
