Has anyone ever heard of or used a Patterson Power Pack livestock blower?

Deifinitely buy aluminum.  Price difference isn't that great.  First time you lug a steel Sullivan chute from one end of the show to the other, you'll immediately appreciate aluminum.  We've had ours for five years, and still as solid as the day we bought it.

One problem, I think most of the refr units are 3-phase.

Don't need a cool room. You will shave them down pretty tight.  You will still feed at a 2% - 3% body weight, but a higher proportion of hay, and you'll feed alfalfa not grass hay.  See if your county has a catch-it dairy program.  Three of our kids have done it that way.  A lot of the dairies...

Another thing that might help is to post the type of show the calf is for.  A small local show with ten entries vs. the National Jr. Angus Show.  Perspective changes my opinion.
