On Oct. 2nd, we will be kicking our fall sale season by hosting an Open House at our farm.  Available for viewing will be a select set of Fullblood, Maine, and Maine Cross heifers and bulls from both the 4J Family Cattle (Jerry Gibson) herd and ours.  These genetics represent some of the top bloodlines in the Maine Anjou breed. Cattle will be priced and sold on a first come, first serve basis.  Give Zane Mai call at 817-233-9357.

We invite you all to our social event celebrating the new partnership between 4J Family Cattle and ZNT Cattle Co.  If you can't make it, you can book a viewing of the cattle anytime.  More information and updates can be found on our website at www.zntcattle.com or 4J's new website at www.4jfamilycattle.com.

Here is a sneak peak that I am sure several of you Planeteers will fall in love with.  She is a March heifer sired by Alias and out of an Irish Wiskey cow.  She is deep ribbed, soft made, loaded with muscle, very sound, and a super disposition, a steer mama' supreme.

Tag 1 heifer in our fall offering is a HAA Wisdom out of a Parker cow bred by Buck Cattle.  This Oct 2009 Purebred Maine heifer sold as a pair in Buck's 2009 Fall Premiere Sale.  She has the makings of a great producing cow that will make an impact in any herd.

Went to the ZNT link, and didn't see any pictures.  Went to the other link and it was some kind of blogger page.  Do you have any pictures of the calves?

I am sure several of you Fullblood enthusiast have waiting to see what Jerry would be showcasing out of his Fullblood Maine herd.  This is one of 5 fullbloods, all sired by Quigley who was the Grand Champion Fullblood bull at Ft. Worth in 2007.  Her dam is out of the great Epinal himself.  It has been a while since I have seen a Fullblood come along that is as good as this one. She is a May calf that has only been weaned for a little over 2 weeks, but has the world ahead of her.

Dang Viagra ads bumped me to the third page.  Maybe this one will work a little better for the folks on Steerplanet than those ads. He's an April Purebred Maine bull out of a Legacy Plus son and a Covino III daughter.

I can not believe I waited this long to put up this one.  He is a March high percentage Maine bull sired by Triple X and out of a BK Parker daughter.  He is a low birthweight sire that is sure to make a steer producing sire that can be used on heifers.  He was born unassisted out of a first calf heifer with a birthweight in the low 60's.

ZNT Triple X was the Calf Champion Maine bull at the Houston Stock show in 2006 that has proven himself as an easy calving Maine sire, and this bull's dam was the Res Jr. Calf Champion Maine heifer at the 2009 Houston Stockshow behind the overall grand Maine female.

Anybody looks for a great steer for the State Fair of Texas, or Tulsa, he is also sure worth looking at.

Only 2 days to go until our open house and kickoff to our fall selling season.  How about a May Mainetainer heifer  our of a Paddy son and a Draft Pick daughter?  Don't look past this one because she is young. Another one out of a great Calvin Fryer cow.

For anybody looking for a bull ready to go this fall, we just had 3 arrive for our Open House.  For the last of my previews, I had to include one of my favorites.  She is an April Mainetainer out of BK Transformer and an Euchee cow.  Hope to see you all on October 2nd.  Don't worry if you can not make it though, we will have calves, cows, and bulls available throughout the fall.

Thought I would throw in one of the heifers that we are offering along with the selection of Maines from 4J Family Cattle.  She is a Sept 2009 out of Hardcore and a CTR Success x Traveler 6807 cow.  She is a 3/4 sister to the dam of ZNT Montego Bay.  We were just out snapping pictures the other day, so she has not been clipped or fitted at all, but you can get the idea.

Still a good selection of cattle available, and more coming in later this fall.
