I am looking to evolve towards Maine and Mainetainer genetics on my herd. The bulls I gravitate towards breeding my cows to all seem to be his sons. So which one is the best? Also, any thoughts on HAA Contender would be helpful as well. Thanks, Cowman

I was told most sales are not selling well, lowest prices and fewest calves sold in a decade...I only had time to go to one sale so can any of you confirm this? What is everyone else seeing/hearing? Making me wonder how many to get ready for the Dec. sale I'm consigned to.

Try a goat...they ought to have enough milk for that, and actually be able to have them. Kind of kidding...kind of serious. Why is it we all have to try this once? I'm as guilty as the next guy...I had to try one out of a legitimately "great maternal" ANGUS cow. No fing milk, no fleshing...

I think it's average, and the calves look OK. Just thought you might want one honest response to an obvious ploy for your own site. Why not just say, hey...look at my site and tell me what you think????

Thanks...yes they are for sale. If not sold this summer they will be on a Labor Day sale here in Iowa, or I may hold them for the Elite Genetic Club Calf sale in November.
