    I pretty much agree with everyone. I know when my daughter shows she'll take the show stick's pointy hook and gut the calf to get it to raise it's belly and flatten out it's back. Maybe give that a try. Also, I'd spread the back legs a little more, gives the calf a bigger rear end.

    We've bought a lot of hay from Torrington. I think a lot of people cut and their fields got rained on. There is a lot of cheap cow hay being sold.     I think he looks really nice so far. He's smooth across the top, looks like he moves well. Big shouldered and lean. The only think I would say is maybe I'd like to see a bigger butt but I think you are on your way to having a nice competitive show pig. Good luck.

    Is there anything you can use to calm a heifer

    I would do what everyone else suggested as far as working with her and being around her. Take her for rides in the trailer. If possible take her to the fair grounds and let her walk around where she'll be and get use to it. Take which ever other cows that you are going to show with you too.
