I am pleased so far. He is out with cows now so hoping for good things next year. If he does throw good calves we might have him collected. But needs to prove himself first.

I bought him from a breeder in Minnesota. He was shown at on point and did good they said. But I don't know exactly how he was being fed or what he was doing.

We just bought this bull. He will be 2 in January.

Cross plains is only about 12 miles from me. But I do not know of any shorthorn breeders there

What are some good composite Bulls to use on crossbreed cows to help add volume and muscle but keep or improve milking. Would prefer a clean bull. Have thought about uncle si, captain Morgan, Dakota gold, medicine man, myer myer and young money. Would like to use one with color if possible...

Took my nephew to his first show yesterday. He didn't do as well as what he wanted to do but I think the heifer looked good. Hopefully he will want to keep showing.

Would dual purpose help to add milk production back to a line of cows that is lacking the big beautiful bags? If so where do you get some semen? Or some milking shorthorn semen. I have thought about trying to experiment with a milking breed with some commercial cows to get better milking recips...
