We were in an unmerciful drought last year. We put eggs in or AIed everything that come into heat after 45 days thinking the longer we waited the worse conditions would be and we were quite right. Usually wait and synch the cows up, etc. We got along fine with our conception rates, actually...

I have a club calf background therefore my view is skewed somewhat. Pull a little early and the heifer (at least I hope this is the situation, it still embarrasses me to pull a normal presentation calf out of a cow, will likely have some trouble releasing the placenta. Pull to late, a year's...
