Black baldy bull to use on heifers

http://www.cattlevisions.com/bull_detail.php?BullId=3839 More of a blaze face, but I think he can produce some good females.

Clubby Bulls on Red Angus cows

Anyone had any calves out of Red Angus cows crossed with a clubby bull? What were your best results if so? Tried a search on it, but didn't find much.

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

^ Exactly the reason I am looking into non-clubby options! The heifers would be put into club calf production herd.

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

We had Raymond out on Sunday and Chris Wilson out the weekend before, Lautners were in the area but that day just didn't work for me. I use bulls from all three and respect all three, however I am looking for some options for these replacement heifers that don't have clubby bloodlines. Grizzly...

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

I like the Ali idea, I am not sure I-80 will give me the guts I am looking for.

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

Sorry for the poor quality, it's time to upgrade the cell phone. EDIT: Thought I should note that she is THF and PHAF and I would like to keep the replacement heifers that way.

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

Yes, I think the K-Kim brings a lot to the table for maternal value. I am flushing her this year to Eye Candy and probably Salty Dog, then if all goes as planned there I will switch my focus to trying to find the right matchup for her to add daughters to the herd. The biggest thing I am looking...

    Shorthorn Cross for Heifers

Looking for a direction to go on a showy bred shorthorn female (Sire-After Hours, Dam is a Warhorse grand daughter) to try to get replacement heifers. Her first calf was out of an Angus bull and that was a whale of a heifer that I regret not keeping. What are some successful crosses you guys...

    Mob Boss

Yup, I really think the Friction neck with stick with him through is prodigy.

    Mob Boss

Anyone have experience with this bull? Had him suggested him to me on a cow that needed downsized a little with some stoutness/middle and I was really impressed with the bull's looks. He's a Monopoly x Friction that is owned by Trauschs. I think with Friction in there he has the potential to add...

    Unstoppable and Maternal Perfection

I'd go with Maternal Perfection over Unstoppable in this situation. I really want to try some of him on some Angus cows this year. We've also had Walks Alone really downsize Angus for us....I'd say too much.

    young calves being sold

We try to start selling calves at this age just through private sale, usually farm visits after seeing a picture of the calves. No feed or clipping done, they are just roaming the pasture with their mommas. If one is tame enough for us to comb freestanding in the pasture we will, but that is it...

    Suggestions for 2nd calvers?

Yeah, that's my bad. Not sure where I got that thought. Thanks.

    Suggestions for 2nd calvers?

Not sure he'd moderate...but Grizzly Bear is a THF PHAF bull from Lautners who should be fine for 2nd calvers. Monopoly x Irish Whiskey. Or how about Carpe Diem from Trauschs.

I80 vs I67 vs Jesse James

I am having the same experience with my I-80 heifer. She started cycling at a young age and goes on clock work also!

    Opinions on a steer

I've been impressed with the pictures of Southern Comfort calves I have seen. Good looking calf.

I80 vs I67 vs Jesse James

Dealt with a I-80 and couple Jesse James this year. I-80: Heifer bought this past fall that I really like and have very high hopes for down the road. Smooth, clean necked, and deep/square flanked. She is out of an Carnac/Full Flush cow. I think he needs used on deeper females but I think the...
