It really gets me when someone says "He/She would really be good it they weren't a hereford"  If they are good they are good no matter what color/breed they are.

It was a consignment sale for local breeders.  I think the Miami County Livestock Association was putting it on.

Did anybody go to the club calf sale yesterday in Paola, Kansas.  This was their first year to have a sale and I could not go as I was pheasant hunting and was wondering how it went.

I don't know if you have a Genex rep or not near you but they have some good bulls.  Felton Legend 242 is good on calving ease and makes some nice females.  I have had a couple good calves out of Anhinga Vic K16.  He is a bull that I don't hear a lot about, but I have had good results with.  And...

As CPL said wait until the calf is born and is good enough to be registered before you but the cert.  Don't buy a cert for every straw.

You have to buy an AI certificate  so that you can register the resulting calf. 

We don't have any kids showing anymore but was wanting to go just to watch, but was unable to make it.  What were the calves that caught your eye itk?

BCS are the initials of the three breeders that put on a sale in Manhattan,Ks.  The call the sale the "Breeders Championship Series"  It is a play on "Bowl Championship Series"  The breeders names are Berry, Camerlinck and Schardein.

That top and average are better than the years we went.  They (consigners) are probably happy. 

Did anybody go to the sale?  How were the calves/prices? Thanks
