    nasal vaccines

usually the intranasal Modified Live Vaccine  are pretty good - usually IBR combined with PI-3 the main advantages is you some sort of protection with 3-4 days after inoculation; questionable interferon activation tho it gives a quick boost, but usually immunity is not as long as injected MLV i...

if your old show heifer is like any of the ones like mine, they still know what a feed bucket and show feed is.... when the calf is laying down, pour some feed on the calf, the cow will come over and lick the feed and the calf... triggering the maternal instinct... also have used the dog in the...

    200 Dead cows in Wisconsin

my guess is to have that rapid death of 200 cows would be some sort of toxin, or allergic reaction to a common cause. even though the article says IBR/BVD, IBR or BVD probably couldn't kill 200 cows in that very short period of time, it would be more strung out. JMO JWW

    foot rot question

here is the mechanism of most sulfa - - competively inhibit dihydropteroate synthase, the enzyme that catalyses the incoroportation of PABA into dihydrofolic acid,  -- inhibit folic acid production within an abscess there are many dead cells that have spilled their cellular contents allowing...

    foot rot question

Sulfa pills won't help with the abscess and depending on the causative agent sulfa probably won't work either. since there is an abscess i would consult your veterinarian to prevent getting the joint infected i usually use Nuflor with cases of footrot Just my opinion JWW

nice female, hell of a tank, i can see why you want the calf out of her, she looks like she would be greatly mated to IDT, we used alot of him on our big stout, big middle simmis and love how he mated up with them. IMO breed her back to IDT either way i bet it'll be a nice calf out of her if...
