    Hair Question(:

    I always keep the heads clipped on my calves. For fans, I heard they should run from as soon as it is light until dark, at least in the summer. I have mine on a timer so I don't need to worry about forgetting to turn them on or off.

    i think they had lose wiring or something because it was up at the cord where it heated up. i think they may have also gotten a bit of hair in the casing too which may have contributed to the problem.

    the padded floor makes a world of difference! i got one for my chute in  the winter and the steers stand perfectly still in it now. Before they used to swing all over the place.

    Liquid Fat and Hair Growth

    last year i had a steer with the same problem, needed more cover. poured about 60cc of corn oil on his feed once a day, it really helped him add cover and it made his hair shinier.
