There are good bred cows out there but most are sold for a reason. Low milk production, Too much milk, hard time calver, genetic problems, can't hold their body weight etc... Just be sure the seller is a reputable breeder. In the long term I would go with the heifers bred or open. Most heifers...

My favorites are the Simmentals and the Gelbviehs. Both breeds do well with the Angus Breed making the SimAngus & Balancers which are both nice. I like the Black Simmentals over the Black Gelbviehs and the Red Gelbviehs over Red Simmentals.
