    Sunseeker calves

Here's my Sunseeker out of a Playmate cow. Picture is about a month old. He really looks good as he gets older.

    how big was ali?

I saw him at the stud a few times and he probably weigh around a ton as a mature bull. Not too big, not too small, just right.

Goretska Barn Part 1 Video Up!

I was at Holtkamp's a few years ago and thought his place was really nice. That was a few months before the Throgmartin dispersal so maybe things have changed. I don't know. That's not too far from home for you.

    MONOPOLY

I saw Monopoly at Hawkeye back in March. The bull looked like he wasn't much more than a long yearling. Wonder why they moved him to OK to collect him?

    Bull for Soundness

Dirty Hairy, Open Bar, Mitten Man, Tyson, Dr Who are a few Maines I have experience with and no structure problem whatsoever. I love the assumption here that you can keep a crippled cow, breed her to a sound bull, get a crippled calf then blame the bull. Junk + Great a lot of times equals junk.

Yellow / Green Puss coming out of cows neck

Sounds like a case of lumpy jaw. If the sores/bumps are hard like bone and don't wiggle when you try to move them, it's probably lumpy jaw. Infuse her with sodium iodide now then in two weeks again. She may abort her calf so beware if she's bred. I just sold a really good cow that got into an...

    Walks Alone

Don't know what he looked like as a baby so it's a little hard to tell. There are many Heat Wave sons that sire pretty moderate birth weights  so I wouldn't discount him as a cow killer just based on his sire. My opinion, based on his height and width, is to breed him to a bigger mature cows.

    Walks Alone

Unbelieveable width, muscle, bone, and hair. You ain't seen nothing like him. 4 axe handles wide is a great way to describe him.

    Some kind of fungus? HELP

Looks like a callus from being on some hard dry dirt/cement or reaching under a fence. It should go away if you change his environment or put up a low hot wire around his pen.

    Walks Alone

He looks as good as any club calf bull alive but he sure isn't very tall. I plan on using him on some big cows to downsize.

"Its not about the war, its about the warrior" (Not cattle related)

That was cool! We should not be ashamed to celebrate our military men and women and our love of this country.

Bad day of halter breaking (pics)

Thanks for the laugh. It is a lot better to have them that way than to have them try to rocket out of sight when you try to lead them.

OK, Between these 4 Angus bulls, which one would you choose?

I'm not much for pb Angus cattle but the fanciest ones I've seen were sired by Lut.

    Angus calving ease with style?

Juneau. They are hairy, stylish and small when they are born and they only get better.

    too late to breed?

I would try it early (7:00ish) tomorrow. I have better luck breeding "too late" than breeding early.

Looking for a Clubby Bull that will increase frame size and create great fronts

Definitely not if you are wanting to increase frame size. He will make them pretty and have plenty of muscle though.

    WHO?

Saw a bunch of baby calves out of Open Bar (Ice Chest son) and they were big bodied and really nice. I will be using some OB this year.

    Very Confused

Do the TS calves grow? I've heard some reports he is really easy calving but they don't get very big. I've seen TS at the stud and he looks great but he's pretty short.
