Pictures of my daughter showing her Q-Dog heifer for the first time

It looks like you will have a lot of great times in the coming years!!!! (dog) I too would agree the the heifer looks good and i would caution at getting her too fat.  I will not allow my heifers to get too fat because they have to return home and become productive cows. Keep up the good work...

What is your 2012 bull lineup?

I almost have more bulls on my list than I have cows to breed.  This year I will use some Shadybrook Scotty.  My daughter wants me to breed some to Wolf Willow Major Leroy and I would like to use some Diamond Prophecy.

    new 4-H steer

I will put in my predictions as well.  I agree with vanridge.  All are very good steers but the shorthorn cross lacks a bit of muscle expression the the shorthorn has.  The black steer will possible be the biggest of the three and will hang a very nice carcass but lacks the style and eye appeal...

    new 4-H steer

I thought we could make this interesting.  Since Vanridge and I are only a few miles apart, and our kids are in the same 4-H club, I thought I would post my daughter's steer.  He is an April 2011 purebred shorthorn, he weighed 740 on Dec. 3rd.  Post your thoughts on how these calves will place...

    Weaning Day

Yes Harleigh's steer is looking good.  I don't expect him to be a big steer but I hope he looks as good as his full brother that she showed last year.  The girls are bugging me to go get the other calves home.  Hopefully I can be ready for them in the next week or so.  That grey steer looks...

need help with a John Deere tractor

The aluminum lines have cracked and started to leak in the past.  As well they have come out of place.  The hydraulics on this tractor have given a lot of trouble over the years.  I can't count the number of times we have had to split this tractor.  This time it has been acting different than in...
