I use a 3 shot/10 day progam on a few cows and heifers every year with good success.  On day 0 use Cysterelyn, day 7 use estrumate, day 9 cysterelyn and breed 16-20 hours after the last needle.

At our fair the cheques were madeout 2 days after the sale and as soon as the buyers paid and the kids record books are in they can have the money.  Most steers are paid for at the sale but we do need to wait for a few to pay before we can release the funds to the kids.

We do spend a lot of time with the cattle, the girls and I start in November for a mid-July show.  By show time the steers will follow the girls around like dogs.

It is ironic, my kids are too young for 4-H so they show in the open jackpot classes.  It is hard when you have kids that are keen and ready to get out and start showing to tell then sorry you are too young.  My youngest showed her first steer at the fair when she was 3.

I just came in from checking the pasture and I have a 7 week old bull calf that has scours as well.  I am not sure if it is heat related or not but it has been very hot here the past few days.
