Being one of those "Self Promoting Shorthorn Breeders"  ;) we thought we would post a new pic of ACC Candy's Bubble Yum 39Y. She is more impressive every day and I think she may be as good as her dam. Momma and little Hilltop say she is better!! Really crossing our fingers for a full sister...

That was from the drought in 2009 in Alberta  ;D We strarted to put whole oats out last year in the summer. Not sure if it does a whole lot but seems to get the calves off to a lot better start than the ones without the feeder in the summer

The part that has really impressed me about him was that he was less than 4 months old when weaned and his momma was only company for the last 3 weeks as I am sure she had no milk anymore. His dam developed lump jaw quite bad over the winter and we treated her 3 times with sodium iodine but it...
