I've always used fitting paint or just plain spray paint and never scraped the scab off I just coated the area with the paint and it suffocates the ringworm and it cant grow anymore and just goes away.  If you do that make sure you run a comb through the hair in that spot so it doesn't turn into...

Thanks brent, yes they have both been cycling and they both got bred to Ego Trip for their first calf on the first and 5th of may. The steer is doing pretty good, weighed 1030 about 2 weeks ago!!

My steer weighed in at 715 for end of july county fair and middle of august state fair. My heifers weighed 776 and 814.
