This is my herd bull kept him from my own here he's a hf tiger 5t out of a bando 1961 by 365 cow. He's a oct 2 year old that bred 35 cows last year. I love his deep super soft look and he's super wide. What do you guys think.

I think it just depends on the set up. How close the cows are how hands off they are. My future father in law runs 275 cows and 150 yearlings all by himself but all his pasture is with in 2 miles of his house. My dad and another kid run 700 cows over 18000 acres all by themselves. Can anyone speak for his length of body and the length of body that his calves exhibit? I am considering breeding him to some shorthorn angus heifer, but was noticing his 205 day weight of 588 and am not ok with that weight. Was wondering if that light weight comes from lack of length or???

I have had good luck with hillside leader. They are stylish and would probably show. Not trying to stir the pot or bad mouths bull but in my experience with nitro on one heifer. We just moved ours up to 1100 a couple of years ago it was a 1000 lbs previous. It always seemed like there was a couple steers that would be brought and should get white ribbons, but we never like to give a white ribbon. This has eliminated this problem.

I would try tc grid topper or vermilion dateline these two bulls will add size and power. Tc grid topper makes good females and males and his daughters have beautiful udders. SitZ upwards here seem to get tall but lack power and are narrow. Hf tiger makes good females but they are a little short...

I would agree with you I really would like to see more depth of rib on most of the calves shown above. I bet jit doesn't have any depth problems with him on his cows they appear to have plenty of rib. Are there any pics of him in his working clothes?

I have a small herd but I have 6 1961 that are all 2009 models and all the daughters they had had are keepers as well. They milk well raise nice big calves always are in good condition. I wish I had a 100 of them nice fronts big middles and good width and beautiful udders. Not a consistent sire...
