I just bought a Bando 1961 cow the other day. Its been a long time since I dipped into angus so I am not sure about 1961, How were his females? Did they milk? Did his daughters show at all?? Thanks for any info.

hIS CALVES WERE NOT VERY consistent for me, like females better than males ,and got the opinion that I didn't want much  5175 and think that was his sire ....Used 4200 and really liked them but like most of the 5175 cattle there disposition had a lot to be desired ....We really got along with 4200 bulls and females !!!!

Okay. Thanks for the reply. I was only concerned about the females. We got her home and she actually is okay with the disposition. she isn't halter broke but she walks up to you and will sniff your hand etc so I am not going to complain about that! We bought her as a bred so thats why I was wondering about the milking etc. I will attach a pic of her.

I have a small herd but I have 6 1961 that are all 2009 models and all the daughters they had had are keepers as well. They milk well raise nice big calves always are in good condition. I wish I had a 100 of them nice fronts big middles and good width and beautiful udders. Not a consistent sire of bulls and they seem to be the ones with disposition problems.
