My Ali's always seem to come at least a week early. That's kinda what the general consensus seems to be. Not sure on the WMW though.

Alright. Thank you. We called the vet this morning and she told us to just keep giving him the mineral oil till he gets better  so we'll see. I'm on my way back out now to go check again.

I have a steer that has been blocked up since this morning. He still hasn't passed anything as of 5:00. We gave him mineral oil this morning and have been walking him around every half hour or so. I was wondering what else we could do to make him more comfortable and get things back to normal...

We had a Dr. Who steer born unassisted this year out of our shorthorn cow. Weighed about 88 lbs. or so.

Nice Heifer. I bred to NP hoping to get a heifer, no such luck though. Wasn't too impressed with him at first, but he keeps getting better and growing well.

We have had all bulls out of our AI cows this year. Still have 2 more to go. Keeping my fingers crossed for a heifer!

Thanks for all the suggestions! We've had several calves  in the past few days. All bull calves, can't seem to get a heifer to save my life! I'll get pics of them on here as soon as I can!

We have just started calving and were just wondering what kind of feed you all feed for creep? We want to get more condition on them than they have had before. What age do you guys start creeping?

Last year, at our county fair, a mother walked up to our stall and asked if her kids could pet our steer.  Sure, no problem. It was REALLY hard to keep a straight face when she told me that her kids also wanted to milk one!!!

Okay, our weigh-in for our county fair is in one week (2-14). A fellow exhibitor's steer weighed as of yesterday about 950 pounds. However, that is the maximum allowed weight. How would you keep your steer at that weight? I know that it's cutting it pretty close, but any suggestions?
