I had posted that my heifer looked like she was going to pop anytime. She was acting a little weird and I took her to the vet, the baby is backwards and he thinks pretty big. I go back Monday to check her again and decide to induce her or to do a c-section...hoping for the best!

    Sunseeker steer for sale

He placed 2nd to a $7500 calf. The judge really liked him, but he couldn't top that other steer.

I seen that, but he is doing really good on them! When I showed him, the only thing the judge said was he needed to be a little bigger. Everyone that has seen him has loved him and never said a bad thing about his legs.

He was bought out of a sale from MO, the guy lived in northern MO. I personally do not know what his name was.

    Sunseeker steer for sale

I am going to price my sunseeker steer I had posted on here earlier for opinions. He is a late spring born steer and was last weighted on 12/13/09 and weighted 536lbs. I live in northern Arkansas. If I do not sell him, I will keep him and continue to show him. He is really thick with plenty of...

    Pumping websites

Our fair has allowed pumping in the past, but they are voting this week on wether or not to allow it this year. I believe that it is ok if they need water or nutrients, but I do not think that it should be done just to place better. It's one thing to help an animal, but I don't agree on doing it...

I live in Arkansas. It is illegal at our state fair along with other shows, but legal at jackpot shows. Pumping has been allowed the last couple of years, but some are trying to make it illegal.

    Pumping websites

Is there any college or informational websites about pumping? Our county fair is bringing up pumping at the next meeting do decide if it should be allowed. I need websites with valid points on why it shouldn't be done. Is there any way it can danger the animal or hurt it? Thanks

    NW Arkansas Hillbilly Classic

They don't show on Friday unless they do a showmanship for the parents..etc. The show usually starts around 10. The steer show is a big thing at the Hillbilly, steers come from the surrounding states to compete in it. There is a lot of steers there. I'm pretty sure that there are hookups, some...

    NW Arkansas Hillbilly Classic

The numbers each year in breeds vary, depending on who has bought what. Many people buy different breeds different years so the number in each breed change each year. The numvers are usually  good tho.

    NW Arkansas Hillbilly Classic

Hey, I live in Harrison and nothing will probably be posted on the internet about it. The local Cattlemens association usually put it on with the help of a 4H group. The last I heard they are still getting the paperwork and information together for dates. They have not had their Jan. meeting...

Thanks for the comments! This pic does make him a little nicer fronted but he is still clean fronted. He came out of Missouri, but I would have to look at the sale catalog to see for sure who raised him. I have been debating on wether or not to sell him because he is one of the smallest steers...
