Feeding beet pulp and full tank?

Is is safe to feed both of these products at the same time? I had just started feeding beet pulp about a week ago and yesterday my dad showed up with a bag of full tank as well. Is it safe or nessisary to feed both of these products at the same time?

    i miss my market steer!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is going to tell you to suck it up or get out, there is no room for emotions blah blah etc. They are right, but I am in the same boat as you are. This past year, same as you, I had to sell my first steer. He was a sweetie, a great little calf and I cried like a child when I left him...

    Steer not eating

We weighed him this morning. He weighed 735. He is on a total pelleted feed. Maybe I could add some oats, calf manna, and I have heard of Fast Fuel or fuel. I heard it is expensive, but I heard it makes them eat great and beef up. Has anyone ever used it?

    Steer not eating

My Hardcore steer is not eating. I figured that down in the south it may be the heat. We put him under the misters and fans and it is starting to cool off, but he still is not eating like my other steer. He should be around 900 or so pounds, but he is only 723. Maybe it is the feed, or the heat...

How long does your fair take to send you the check from the sale??

For us last year it took around a month and a half. We had add on money and sponser money and diffrent prize money and stuff like that to figure. I got my check after the last buyer chunked their peice in. Our buyers have always been good about paying. Its the same way for our hogs too.

    GODFREY'S SHOW CALF FEED

I think I know who came up with that ration =) We have our own little mix that we put in with some my ag teacher gets from montezuma. I like it, my biggest steer need to belly down, and he has. Plus it is really cheap.

    GODFREY'S SHOW CALF FEED

Ha, seems to be a going thing, we won some at the Houston county young farmer show too. It is a drier feed, some carolass (please excuse my spelling) should do the trick.

    GODFREY'S SHOW CALF FEED

We fed it last year. We added some corn too it in the end. If I am not mistaken, it is not medicated, so if you want to add some its your choice. It didn't give them that "fill" though, so we also added beet pulp ( I hear "fuill tank" does the same thing) It is a okay feed, but we are using a...

    Flys!

Horse flys, fly flys, some kind of flies I have never seen before. You name it, we have it. Especially horse flies. They are killing me! Not to mention these calves. I have tried a variety of sprays for them and the barn. My dad is going to try some pour on that we use on the dairy cows. Does...

    Steer Price

It all depends on the calf. I paid 1200 for one and won breed several times and 5th overall one time. I paid 2500 and got dead last. It all depends on the calf, not the price. The ones that won reserve and grand at our county show did cost 2,000 together. I wouldnt pay over 2500 for one for a...

    Lookie here! 2010 show steers

The only thing I dont like about him is his attitude. He freaks when you try to walk him away from the little one, and I cant walk the little one without him crying and pacing. I cant sperate them, I dont have that much space. He if fine in the stall, you can lay all over him tied up, its just...
