mix betadine with sugar into a paste and pack the wound with it, and the bandage with gauze and vet wrap over top. the granulated texture of the paste will keep the scar tissue to a minimum, and the betadine will keep it sterile

    New Trausch Farms Bull

from the pics of him in the yards, he looks a little hard gutted, some might argue that it is because he is standing stretched out, I would wonder if her is stretched because he is a bit straight off both ends. hard to say from a pic

    Even Better

I agree that he seems to have small feet, as do a good many of the bulls on the market, having said that I often wonder if the small foot in a photo is as much an optical illusion because of all the leg hair, as it is actually small feet. would have to seem the in person to be sure.

new shorty herd sire opinions welcome

Caledon stated that he owned my bulls dam at one time. Neither him or myself stated that I purchased the bull from him. In actual fact I purchased the bull from a completely separate party. I bought him with the intention of using him on my dirty clubby cows. My interest in this bull is only to...

Need Advice....should I try to start my daughter showing?

We have a Pee-Wee division here at most of our show. My nephew is 3 and he is calf crazy. I take him in the Pee-Wee class at almost every show we go to, mostly I just lead the heifer and he "scratches" her, and plays in the dirt with his show stick, but he loves it and I am a believer that it is...

    Tail Question

I know a lot of the Holstein guys around here put in a fake tail. I think there must still be some hair to attach the fake switch too, but I can't say for sure as I have never used one. call Sullivan supplies, they may be able to tell you how to use one if you think that is an option.

    Stampede champion steer disqualified

there seems to be one major point that is being left out. the steer did not go lame right before the show! It clearly states in the article "At its first show in Ohio, the calf stepped on a show fluffing comb and seven teeth broke off in its foot. After removing the teeth, Ryan spent months...
