    Help publishing my web site.

What does it do when you select publish?  Do you get an error or does it just not do anything?  I'm not familiar with publisher, but I've got my domain through godaddy.com.  I was on support with them for over an hour getting set up on my mac.  I had it fubar'd, but they got me fixed!

    Flushing question

It just depends on the female...we had a heifer that calved in the spring as a 2 year old, we rolled her to the fall and flushed her.  She produced 31 eggs, 17 fertilized and she bred back for a fall born the first heat.  I'm sure the extra time we gave her helped out some, but it was still more...

    Fort Worth Steer Show

I just heard the grand steer was raised here in the big town of Braman, OK by a breeder with about 50 cows.  I think it went to Bryan McKay before heading to Texas.  I don't know the breeding on it though.

    Building a Herd

I remember buying a few females from George McCreary at Paw Paw Creek when we were beginning, it was about 10 years ago.  He told me it would take 15 years to get our cowherd where we wanted it.  I thought he was crazy at the time, but here we are 12 years into it and he was right on the money.

    Flush Costs

We transferred on the 13th, so they are just shy of the 3rd cycle.  I knew I shouldn't say anything about our success rate, I'll prob have a few come open now!

    Flush Costs

We set up the donors and recips on farm and have the tech's come out and flush and transfer eggs, it sure beats having to haul them all an hour and back.  Flushing cost is $325 including the drugs and fresh transfer fee is $55.  We just flushed in November for our '09 fall borns, the total cost...

    Building a Herd

This is exactly right.  We went to several breeders and sales looking for that good cow that would cost a little less.  We would raise some marketable calves, every couple of years hit it right and raise a great one.  Then we decided to go out and spend some money on a 5 year old donor quality...

Ok Whats Everyone Hearing: What Display Bulls Are Coming to Denver?

I believe you are referring to Tiger Woods, the red and white Monopoly calf.  Lautner sent out postcards with a recent picture of him.  I would imagine he's going to Denver.

    COLLEGE FOOTBALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's anything like UO's last bowl games it will come down to holding calls.  Will the refs look the other way like the Big 12 refs and let Bradford sling it around or will they actually call a few like they have the past few years.

protein and its effect on birth weight....myth?

Heard the same thing.  Which makes sense, they take more energy to maintain body temp and feed a calf, so the calf is getting more groceries as well.

template for the club calf business.

I don't think you are wrong in your assumption, you may be over-simplifying it just a bit.  Look at Who Made Who, he blows the th theory out of the water and he had several winners in his day.  The birthweights are a combination of nutrition and genetics (on both sire and dam).  I'm mostly fall...

    How big is your operation?

We are in north central Oklahoma and run about 50 cows.  We have about 30 fall calvers that are Maine/Simm/Angus and another 15 Angus and Maine/Angus that are spring calvers.  The angus females are ohlde-bred from Chan Gates in SW Kansas.  They work well to Whiskey or Carneyman for...
