I am fairly new to the site, like it here. I was wondering if i could get some input on what everyone thinks is a good consistant creep ration for spring born show calves. heard some that use ground ear corn, others corn oats and mollasses. i know some people are top secret on their feed rations...

red's rite if you need them to gain that fast they gotta be hungry. feeding to much at a time could spoil their appetitte and you'll be playing catch up all year. i know one thing people tend to over look is clean fresh readily accesible water when eating. good luck hope it works out for ya :)

really like about time. we used an about time son as clean up last season and they are all contenders. clubby hairy and big boned. that blood line made a beleiver outa me!

i agree push them too hard and they could go off feed. we had that problem last year. added calf manna as top dress and fed smaller amounts more times per day. all depends on your ration and your steer. PLENTY OF FRESH CLEAN WATER. that will help appetite also. good luck :)
