cowz, lot 62 brought $1700, don't know who bought her.  Commonsense's bull was very nice and they had a great display in the barn with 3 heifers out of Gigelo Joe and 3 different types of cows. All 3 heifers had low birth weights and were very uniform in kind.  They were also promoting a new...

    Shorthorn at ohldes

AJ,  Jake has a 3 year old son of Jazz that became his Sr herdsire after he sold Jazz.  I believe they call him Prince.  I am not sure what the bottom side is, but I don't believe he is an appendix with 6807 in the background.  I have video of him, but no pictures.  Tim and Trudy were trying to...

JIT, Iowa, SJ, shortdawg, OHB & all the Shorthorn herd (aka help me rhonda!)

Jill,  give Kevin Kimmerling a call about the Jazz calves he has had. I think he has used him more to date than most anyone, prior to this past breeding season.  Kevin told me that the only problem he has had with some Jazz calves is that some just don't grow. He said he has had a few that were...

JIT, Iowa, SJ, shortdawg, OHB & all the Shorthorn herd (aka help me rhonda!)

DL,  I have seen all 3 bulls in person and have 21R at my place running with heifers right now.  For calving ease, 21R would be your choice.  Wymore and Improvers Plus will both throw moderate framed calves. Based on the picture of this cows dam and your description, I would go with Improvers...

    jakes proud jazz heifers

Garybob, Tim Ohlde is using a 3 year old JPZ son as his Sr herdsire for his shorthorn herd. When I saw him he had just came off the fall calvers and looked very good.  Very long bodied, colored the same as JPZ, moderate frame and thick.  The JPZ heifer that Mootharts had was definitely feminine...

    jakes proud jazz heifers

You definitely get a better idea of thickness from the second picture of the white heifer.  Mootharts JPZ was definitely thick. Their White Solution heifer was pretty good as well.  The shorthorn females as a collective group were the best females I saw during the fair.  The Simmentals were a...
