What are all of you steerplanters opionions on feeding High Octane or Magic to a 9-10 months old sho0w heifer ? opinions and personal experiences please. maybe better suggestions ?

use iodine . I know it's a brown/red color & you will think it is gonna stain then but you would be amazed at what it will do for a white calf . & rinsing every day is the key to keeping a white calf white .. to prevent stuff from drying in the hair & staying too long .

i will most likely be at all those also . what do you show ? & have you previously attended any jackpots in the past month or two ? jacksonville, martins mills ffa, van-zandt county 4-H ?

NorthEast texas .. there are alot of jackpot shows in january and feb ..

i just went and looked at his epd's and his bw avg is 2.0

The cow in refernce here by LCC#2 .. this was her first calf .. she is 2 .. moderate framed .. what most call a "steer momma" .. had her a week early & the calf was pretty small .. i dont know exact BW but i would say 50-60lbs no bigger than that .

the heifer is not bow legged . these are not the best pictures ever though .  we were feeding bull & heifer developer but not anymore , she would eat sometimes and not others . recently we are feeding showmaster its an acco feed and she will eat ever last bit i give her so she is finally...

i have 11 heifers . & im pretty sure this is the only one that has never been fitted . never had a reason to . we run her pretty hard and heavy jackpotting and at TCCA shows but they are blow and go & yeah i have used revive final bloom, pink oil, a number of things ?

3dfarms i have showed for 3 years maybe ? just never had a heifer with hair like this . .. she is kept in her pen with shavings in the day time & in a grass pen at night i rinse in the am & pm and dry her both times . ( the way you are suppose to at about a 45 degree angle) & around noon she...

and im pretty sure you are RUDE ! and i said she would be clipped BEFORE fort worth . i was just wondering if anyone has any tips for me from now til then .

i understand what he is saying . that is what i was going to do and i got her from someone who has won ALOT and he said not to . to leave it be and work it daily . i do & it just doesnt pop !

omg . there is NO way i would cut it all off . we are talking a heifer, major shows in jan, feb, march . i almost passed out at this post . she's a AWESOME heifer i just cant ever make her hair do what i want

i have a shorthorn with hair that is a good 4 inches long .. it is so long it lays flat almost how do i make it "pop"
