Double Shot of Twins, trouble getting one cow to accept them

I will get some pictures up as soon as I can remember to take a camera out there with me and figure out how to get them uploaded.  Luckily one of my buddies has offered as much milk as I need from the dairy to supplement the calves, so leaving them on the cow plus supplemental feeding may turn...

    sexing semen

Semen has to be fresh to be sexed due to the rapid nature of flow cytometry used to sex the semen and the shear numbers of actual sprem cells are not enough in one .5cc straw of semen to get adequate numbers for fertilization.  As I am sure you know semen can not be thawed and refrozen.

    Help! Bull after bull

I wish we had your problem we want bull calves to sell steers and right now we are at 5 heifers and 2 bulls with 17 more to go.  Nice thing is we are about at the time to phase out some older cows and bring in some heifers so it will all work out.  Last year we had 13 heifers and 8 bulls which...

Double Shot of Twins, trouble getting one cow to accept them

The cow is doing better with the calves but not 100 percent accepting of both.  She's taken a little more to the bull calf than the heifer but she seems to be doing a lot better.  Luckily I have some small holding pens behind our chute and thats where I've got them housed right now, have had the...

Double Shot of Twins, trouble getting one cow to accept them

Its been an action packed weekend to say the least.  Saturday morning I pulled a set of Johnny Walker Red heifer twins out of a White Boy cow and they are doing great.  This morning we had a set of Texas Twister twins ( bull and heifer) out of one of our Charolais cows.  Calves look great but...

    Smokin Hottie

I kept lookin at those front two but couldn't decide if it was the angle of the picture or if he pointed out a touch.  Who saw him in Denver?  I had a couple friends there that said he looked pretty good to them but it's good to hear other peoples thoughts.
