Had our first Texas Twister calf today, unassisted 90 lbs.  Calf was up and nursing in 15 minutes, I like to see vigor in calves and this guy is already playin like he's a week old.   He puts bone and hair on 'em will post a picture in a week or so.  Anyone else having  TT calves keep us posted.

Apparently you parents forgot to teach you manners, posting pics of young calves on green grass is just rude when we are lucky to turn cows out on green grass 6'' high in early May.  (clapping)  Where are you from, and what is the "grass" the cows and calves are on?  I have never seen it before and nice Rainmaker calf.

Thanks for the complements.  We are in Arizona and the grass is a blend of winter rye, oats, and barley.  We don't get to use it to often in the winter but we should have a couple or a few weeks right now with out having to feed hay.

Believe it or not we do get cold here the first week of February was cold and windy and we lost ear tips on the Rain Maker calf which is a shame because it is turning out to be a nice calf.
