    i found my old recipe, from 2 years ago, its 47% corn, and that is enough to get them fat i have liquid fat mixed in as well, this ration keeps them full fresh and hungry for more, thanks for comments tho

    show heifer.  i used to have a ration with corn, oats, barley. beet pulp, hulls, liquid fat, molasses, vitamin A D E, protein,  and it came out to be 14% protein, and would get any animal fat, and keep them as full looking as you could ever want, i dont remember the exacts but i got a local feed...

    im wanting to mix up a ration to fatten up a shorthorn heifer, and was thinking about : 45%  corn 20% oats but now i need help on how much hulls, beet pulp, barley, molasses, fat, and protein supplement, I want it to be about 14 % protein ration, any help is appreciated

    i never said the buyers were crazy, I said those are crazy numbers, I have worked Angus sales were cattle have brought $100,000 plus, i just meant that in todays economy those are crazy numbers, i seeen the cattle there at CYT a few weeks ago and they were awesome.

    What is th cheapest calf that you have done the best with in the show ring with?

    this was 12 years ago, but we bought a bred heifer for $650 and her heifer calf won our county fair and her class at state fair. And 2 years ago I bought a $1200 heifer that won champion shorthorn 6 times including 2 state fairs.
