    Tingle Dispersal

Did anyone write down the results? I kept watching online for the sale reports to be listed, but for some reason Tingle was skipped. Was it that bad?

    Tingle Dispersal

I have seen the Glimmer and Hope cows in person, when I visited the farm about 3 years ago. Nice cows! I also saw Grand Fortune, and he was very impressive!

Does anyone have the results from the Silver Towne Farms Dispersal they can post

What specifically are you wanting to know. I watched it, wrote most down, buy way to much to post here. The live lots did very well, in my opinion. The embryos were the bargain for most! I even picked up a set

    SSC Shell Shocked 44B

Here is an updated photo of our Feb Shell Shocked. He is impressing me more and more! So much that we weaned him this weekend, a little early, so we can show him at our district fair and maybe State Fair. We also had a heifer in June, out of a cow. She is small, and nothing special, YET. They...

Any thoughts on what I should breed my simmi cow to?

Hard to guess without a picture of her. However, there are lots of Lock n Load sons out there that are doing a great job. She sounds like she has a solid pedigree....

    Hooks Beacon?

Yes, it is specific to Lock N Load offspring. Live Ammo is another Red Charlie, and we had a nice red bull out of him (pictured). It acts just like the hetero gene, but is not identified as such (meaning he tests as Homo black, but still throws red calves).

    SSC Shell Shocked 44B

Here is an updated pic of our Shell Shocked bull calf. He is a Feb calf, so about 70 days old now. He is starting to grow, and looking better every day. He has a long, thin face. It was odd when he was younger, but he is growing into it.

    Heifer safe Simmental bull?

Shell Shocked is throwing small calves, you can get him through Cattle Visions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWsoN-kDix4 https://cattlevisions.com/detail.php?BullId=4099&bulltype=1 We love our Cowboy Cut, but he will not add a white face...

    SSC Shell Shocked 44B

He doesn't seem to be throwing the white face. Ours has just a small speck of white coming out of his nose, that is it. Right now, at 60 days, he is average compared to his contemporaries. I have a second Shell Shocked coming in May, so we will have more to judge on. I have several bred for fall...

Thanks guys! Mark, we are in SW Missouri. That roan calf is NOT shorthorn... but most will think he is. He is actually 3/8 Belgium blue....  ;)

    Ideal Yearling Weight for Heifers

We breed our heifers at 13 months of age, sometimes 14 months. We have lots that are 1000 pounds as yearlings, that is not unusual with the breed.

    Bandwagon calves?

We had a nice little Bandwagon embryo bull calf, but he has horns! Is there any market for horned, purebred Simmental bulls? He is on the list to be cut, expensive steer! Bandwagon is not listed as hetero polled, but now I know he is! I have one more embryo of that mating coming in September...

We had two this week; one out of a first calf heifer, weighed 58 pounds! The second was out of a 3 year old (second calf) and she was 63 pounds! Small for us.
