Charolais cross cattle with skunk markings

You can breed away from these skunk markings, our commercial bull buyers don't want them in their calves either. As a previous poster said you have to look at them close after a rain to notice the pattern on the skin. WCR Prime Cut & JWK Impressive D040(although Thomas 0641 cow seems to not have...

    Zilmax

Do "NOT" feed to breeding animals! It's great stuff to increase muscle mass but they better be real sound when you start them on it and have alot of finish. Also better be real deep bodied as it will really strip the gut out of them.

HF Tiger 5 T v HF EL Tigre 28U which is better ?

Full brothers but real different bulls. Tiger will transmit alot of muscle shape and overall body mass with a pleasing profile along with being easy fleshing. He won't add any extension to the front ends but they're not plain fronted either. El Tigre is a bigger, longer and flatter sided bull...

Picture one of your favorite cows.

Thanks for the compliment qb, she was Supreme Champion Female over all breeds at Agribition last fall. We've got daughters in the herd by Smokester, Wildor Raven(great old female maker from the 80's) and SVY Invincible. We have also flushed her to TR Firewater this past spring.

    Charolais bulls

Between Martens and ourselves there is just under 20 calves. He really stamps them with very nice front ends and seems to put a great hip in them.

Fire Water for slick smokey steers

Actually sjc there is more than just your Sanchez comment(which I commend you for admitting wasn't true) that doesn't add up. Gerrard's only had the Pilgrim heifer at the Alberta Fall Harvest, they did not have any Freedom calves at this event as you stated you had seen in your post above. Also...

Fire Water for slick smokey steers

sjc, Giving personal opinions on peoples cattle based on sincerity  & honesty is what these type of boards are about. Whether they be positive or negative experiences, as long as they are based on integrity. Posting comments on a public forum which are lies about using sons of bulls that aren't...

Fire Water for slick smokey steers

Hey SJC, gotta call you on this one. How can you have calves out of a Sanchez son when Sanchez was born on Jan 23, 2007. His first possible calves were born in 2009 and were yearling bulls at the bull sales last spring(2010). The first possible calves out of any Sanchez sons are just being born...

Fire Water for slick smokey steers

From my experience If your looking to use char sires on a set of cows to get char influenced club calf momma's purebred bulls are the best way to go. Sires such as Firewater, Freedom, Wy Wind, Alliance, Hoo Doo genetics and possibly Bluegrass will work very well as they produce daughters that...

    LT Bluegrass

easy fleshing, moderate framed, deep ribbed, ok thickness. They tend to be a little soft in the pasterns and slicker haired but when mated to clubbie bred cows these two traits shouldn't be a problem. Milking ability is ok, not power milkers but do a decent job.

    Exciting Times at Agribition

On another note, I know these type of things always seem to overshadow the positives in conversations but there was a tremendous set of cattle exhibited at Agribition by many breeders of all the breeds that will no doubt go on and move their owners breeding programs and their breeds in a...
