1st calf of the year

This is my 1st calf of the year. Born Feb. 1st. Heifer calf by the old Leggs bull out of a K-Kim Irish Elite x Augusta Pride 1st calf heifer. Weighed 78 lbs. I bought this hfr from Dr Freed this past fall. Momma is milking excellent. Last pic shows the dam "covering her tracks".

Wow she is wild coloured, but aside form that  she is cool looking. Love the straight lines she has already. Nice udder on Mom.

Fancy little heifer calf! Congrats! Love the color. Wish I had a heifer, 8 for 8 bull calves. 

My first Shorthorn heifer I purchased was a Kool x Legs 21. She never had a calf unassisted, too small of framed, probably a 4 frame.
