That color pattern is very striking. Should catch an eye. If she is out of Rainmaker, he is out of Manchild.Would get a 1/4 from Rainmaker but anything on the dam? Is she Shorthorn plus eligible?

no papers on the mothers side but should be able to get appendix shorthorn papers on the calf

I don't about everyone else out there but i 've raised and seen several calves that look pretty good at first that end up bring about $1 a pound at the local sale barn. I'm not saying that the calf isn't nice but be careful about buying one this early.

My thoughts exactly.  But maybe my cows just aren't that good ;)  Overall, I have no interest in buying extremely young calves from anyone.  I know how much ours change over time.  It's bad enough trying to project them at 3-4 months old.

Seen them change a bunch and don't care to buy them with all the baby "fuzz" either or to sell them that young but hey its just me.
