The thing that strikes me going through this catalog is the depth of the herd bull battery! Some programs here that offer a good opportunity get some good replaacement bred heifers or start a foundation for a herd. (clapping)

I've gotta agree with you on the breds. I think that there is some good ones in there & probably be worth the money.

Lot 21 is my pick. I really like the Buster 14k bull and being bred to Bonanza is a bonus, and that's just the top side! The Scarlet cow is pretty special.

Your correct PDJ. Whats wrong with that heifer?  Its hard to read between the lines on the internet.
I didn't mean anything between the lines trevorgreycattle.  Just that my old eyes missed the service sire and I was trying to figure out how she was related to Capt.  I get the official dumba** award. ;D

I really like the # 43 for her depth, leg set and front end extension.  It sure is nice to see what these beasts look like almost grown.  I would prefer to be a little different color, but shorthorns in our family for 100 years equals still disliking the black hides. ;D

The lot I really like the look of is 36.  She seems like a very high volume female.  My only issue is her breeding date, and the fact that she will be 2 1/2 before she calves.  I get wanting a spring calf, just seems to removing some efficiency, IMO.

good call . I will check age of females and calving dates.  I would agree 2 1/2 should have a calf at side.

thanks

I didn't mean anything negative about the heifer either. I also didn't catch the genetic tie with Captain. I was simple wondering what sue thought about the calf in order for her to choose her, I respect her opinion on such things and was genuinely interested in the reason she liked that heifer.

Red wine-
Sorry - my explanation was breif, just returned from UP State Fair, Michigan's only State Fair !
You cant beat a sh x an cross mother and the 3/4 is even better weather you go back angus or short on the f1!
It's hard to ignore- many many shxan herds all around . It's a old cross that's new again ?

I like the  pic of lot 23- that JT prince line is awesome in terms of carcass, pretty sure many topped sales up "north".

I had the chance to tour Bowman's portion of the Form to Function females last week.

This is a really excellent, high quality set of good, functional and maternally bred females.

Does anyone by chance have any sale results.  There were a few cattle I was interested in but didn't bid on and I'd sure love to see how they sold.  Thank you,
