316 day calving interval

Last May we put photos up of this cow, Diamond Julie Baroness 8J, with a her Miami Baron 20B bull calf. Today she calved with a 88 lb. heifer calf by Diamond Prophecy 21P.
That's a 316 day calving interval and she's 13 years old.

That's 8J's first heifer since 13T, 8J calved later last year as we had flushed her in 2010. Jaimie has a maternal ET sib to 8J coming this year by Byland Gold Spear. Now we need to put in some of 8J's Mandalong Super Flag embryos!
67N should calve next month, she's bred to Prophecy. 67N's daughter 18W is due in a week to Glenford Captain 39X.

Well not quite as impressive but 9 year old Diamond Nicola Susan 23N calved this morning with a 100 lb dark roan heifer 335 days after last year! Her second heifer in a row after years of bulls (thumbsup) This one is also by Diamond Prophecy 21P, so a full sister to last years calf.

Sweet looking calf  (clapping) Other than a thicker hair coat the cow doesn't look much different than your avatar picture. She must be an easy keeper.
