A.I protocol

We are getting ready to a.i. We are wanting to a.i. the cows Saturday April 16th. Just wondering what people have done for the a.i protocols. Do people have better luck with the 5 or 7 day program? We want to use cidrs.  Thanks

I have had the best luck with the 5 day.

I would like to use prostaglandin.
A shot on 02 april and another on 13 april.
Watch heat and inseminate.
Good rates.


For cidrs, I take off it with 7 days, them inseminate 48 hours after.
Tomorrow will check pregnances.

So if we put cidrs in on the evening ( between 4 and 6pm)  of the 12th (tuesday) we give a shot of cysteralin. Then do we pull them Thursday????

Day 1, 2cc gnrh put cidr in
Day 5, pull cidr  two shots lut 4cc each shot two different locations paint tails/Kmar
Breed 12 hrs after visual heats
Time ai any left at 72 hours 2cc gnrh

Have had great luck w/ the 5 day protocol ai'ing a few local herds for people.  I just put estrotects on my group and breed 12hrs after natural heat w a gomer.
